Medovo. Practice makes Match

Terms of sale

What you are buying, and who you are buying it from.

This is the contract for a purchase: what you get, what it costs and who is selling it. Using the site is covered by the terms of use, and refunds by the refund policy.

1. Who is selling it

Medovo is not a company. The seller is one person, trading under his own name:

Medovo is operated from outside the United States and Canada. There is no office, no support team and no postal address. Email is the way to reach us, and every message gets an answer.

2. Who built it, and what it is built on

Medovo is built by a software developer. He is not a doctor, has no medical degree and has never sat on an admissions panel. Nothing here is admissions advice.

The product is based on published work. The station formats, the areas the report scores and the anchors it scores against come from peer-reviewed research on the multiple mini interview and from what medical schools publish about their own interviews. We follow that research where it limits us too: a single station is statistically too unreliable to score, so a single station gets a breakdown but no score.

We are looking for a practising physician to review the stations and the scoring anchors. Until that review has actually happened, this page won’t say it has, and no clinician will be named on this site who hasn’t done the work.

3. What is for sale

Practice interviews with an automated examiner, and a written breakdown of how they went:

The first station is free and does not require a payment or a card.

The number of stations is limited. We add new ones through the season, but if you run a lot of stations in one week, you will get some of them twice. Answering the same scenario again, and doing it better, is a normal part of practice. Still, you should know before you buy that the supply of new scenarios is not endless.

4. What it costs

Nothing renews. Each purchase is a single payment for a fixed amount of practice. There is no subscription, and we don’t keep your card for future charges. When your purchase runs out, it simply ends. If you want more, you buy again.

The Interview week starts when you run your first station, not when you pay, so buying on a Friday doesn’t cost you the weekend. If you haven’t run a station within 14 days of paying, the week starts automatically on day 14.

Unlimited means unlimited. There is no station counter behind the Interview week and no fair-use clause anywhere on this page. For seven days you can run as many stations as you have time for.

Prices are in US dollars. The price on the payment page is the price you pay; we cover the payment provider’s fee.

5. How you pay

Payments are processed by our payment provider. When you buy, you are taken to their payment page, so the address in your browser and the name on the page will be theirs, not ours. That is normal. You can pay by card, PayPal or Apple Pay.

We never see your card details. You enter them on the payment provider’s page, and they go straight to their processor.

The charge on your bank statement comes from the payment provider and may not say “Medovo”. If you see a charge you don’t recognise for about one of the amounts above, it is probably us. Please email us before disputing it; the refund policy explains why that is faster.

There is nothing to cancel, because nothing renews. If you ever see a second charge from us that you didn’t make on purpose, it is a mistake. Please tell us the same day.

6. When you get it

Immediately. As soon as the payment goes through, the stations are on your account and you can start one. If they haven’t appeared within a few minutes, something has gone wrong. Email us and we will fix it or refund you.

7. What is not included

8. When it does not work

If a station fails on our side (it doesn’t start, the examiner never appears, the audio breaks), the station is returned to your account and doesn’t count against your purchase. If that doesn’t happen automatically, tell us and we will return it. You don’t need to prove anything. If the product doesn’t work for you at all, the refund policy applies.

We can’t promise the service is available at every moment. It depends on several other companies, and when one of them is down, so are we. What we do promise is that you get back any paid time you couldn’t use.

9. Your rights where you live

These terms do not take away any consumer rights you have where you live. If they conflict with your local consumer law, your local law applies.

10. Changes

These terms may change, and the date at the top will change with them. A purchase you have already made is governed by the version you agreed to when you bought it.

11. Contact

Questions before buying, problems afterwards, refunds and complaints all go to hello@medovo.app. A person reads every message and usually replies within a day.
