Eight minutes to tell her that her father isn't going to wake up. What she says next depends on how you said it.
Most people can recite the ethics. What throws them is the moment she stops listening and starts crying and the rehearsed answer runs out. Medovo is a full MMI circuit: six stations, two of them role-play, built around exactly that.
You are the resident on call. Mr. Adeyemi, 71, was admitted overnight after a fall. Imaging shows a bleed he will not recover from. His daughter has just landed after a six-hour flight, and nobody has spoken to her yet.
How a station runs
Two minutes at the door. Eight minutes in the room.
Same shape as the real thing. You read the prompt in the corridor, the bell goes, you walk in and talk. There's no pause button and no second take. Whatever comes out of your mouth is what gets scored.
The circuit
Six stations. Two of them are role-play.
On a role-play station nobody interviews you. There's a person in the room with something at stake: a daughter who has just found out, a colleague you have to confront, a patient refusing the surgery that would save them. They answer you back. That's the part you can't practice alone, and no question bank gives it to you.

Scored per competency
Each competency gets its own score. You find out that the reasoning held up and the delivery didn't, instead of one number for the whole thing.

Anything that moved the score comes back as the line you said, with a timecode. You can go and listen to yourself say it.

Every flagged moment comes with a better version of the line. A friend running questions with you can't do this part.

Every station stays in your history with the recording, so you can hold the next circuit up against this one instead of going on memory.

Premeds heading into interview season
By the time the invite arrives, your grades and essays are locked. The interview is the last thing you can still change, and it's scored on how you handle eight minutes you didn't see coming.
IMGs going into the Match
MMI scores track English proficiency. A systematic review found interview scores correlate significantly with language level, and eight minutes of improvising against a clock in your second language is where that shows up. So the practice has to be language under pressure, not just content.
